Be transported to immersive adventures in outer space, high in the skies or underwater!
See the Earth as never before or face the dangers of space in this virtual reality experience. VR Transporter combines state-of-the-art VR goggles with exciting motion and 4D effects in a fully immersive first-person adventure role. Soar above solar system landscapes, careen through the skyline of a futuristic Chicago, dive the depths of prehistoric seas, or explore one of the other available modules. See your virtual adventure options at the VR Transporter during your visit. Choices are subject to availability. VR Transporter requires an additional ticket purchase. See below for details.
Tickets
VR Transporter is not included in Museum Entry and requires a separate, timed-entry ticket. Tickets are $12 per person ($11 for Griffin MSI members). Up to four people may ride per cycle. Recommended for ages 13 and older. Guests under age 13 but at least 42 inches tall may ride with parent/guardian consent. (Approx. 5 minutes.)
You control the action! Climb aboard and try your skills as either a pilot or gunner in a historic aircraft: choose from the F-4 Phantom, the A-10 Thunderbolt II, F-15 Eagle, the P-51 Mustang and more. Choose either pilot or gunner responsibilities. Climb, dive, and roll your simulator in 360-degree barrel rolls to earn “ace” status (training time included prior to your mission).
Admission:
$20 per ride ($18 for Griffin MSI members), good for up to two people. IMPORTANT: Purchase only one ticket per two riders. (Approx. 6 minutes.)
Safety requirements:
Flyers must weigh less than 245 lbs. You must be at least 48” (approx. 122 cm) tall to ride.
