Individual Giving

Help inspire the inventive genius in everyone
Griffin Museum of Science and Industry is an integral thread in the fabric of Chicago’s history. For nearly 100 years the Museum has been providing hands-on joy and discovery to everyone who has walked through our doors. The vision inscribed on our historic Rotunda reads, “Science discerns the laws of nature, industry applies them to the needs of mankind.” We strive daily to bring interactive experiences to guests that stay true to that founding vision. Whether through our guided Coal Mine tour, our immersive Griffin Studio or the awe-inspiring Science Storms, guests leave with a greater understanding of the fascinating world around them.

Why give
When you make a gift to the Museum you support every facet of our work. You help keep our history intact, preserving exhibits and behind the scenes collections. You also ensure our future, granting us the continued opportunity to bring STE(A)M to millions of visitors. Generations of families have experienced our exhibits and with your generosity we can continue to uphold our mission.
The Museum is housed in the only remaining building from the 1893 Columbian Exhibition. Since opening in 1933 we have welcomed nearly 200 million visitors.
