Planning for Success with the NGSS

Want to get the most out of your Amplify or Skyline units?

About the workshop

This full-day workshop is designed specifically for educators who work with Amplify or Skyline Science curricula. The goal is to support teachers to better understand how and why the Amplify/Skyline curriculum is organized the way it is so they can more easily and effectively implement it in their classrooms. Through this workshop, educators will:

  • Understand the essential elements to consider when planning a unit in their curriculum
  • Leave with increased confidence and awareness of key curricular resources to plan for successful implementation in the classroom.
  • Uncover the ways that their curriculum productively supports students' sensemaking about phenomena.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of how the NGSS supports teaching and learning with their curriculum.

Designed to work alongside other Skyline Professional Learning offerings, this workshop will truly help teachers plan for success to address the NGSS!
