Made for young people in grades 3 – 8 to explore independently or with an adult — at home, in class or in out-of-school programs. Activities can also be adapted for grades K – 2 with extra support. Get ready to experiment, investigate and imagine — because science is everywhere!

Purple Kit
This collection features tasks focused on asking questions, honing observational skills and collecting data. Includes four activities:
- Garden in a Pouch: explore how a seed germinates without soil
- Can You See Your Lights: discover how a rainbow of colors make up white light
- Balloon Buzz: fun way to explore sound and motion concepts using a hex nut
- Who Did You Eat: analyze an owl pellet to uncover the diet of an owl

Orange Kit
Through these experiences, learners will gain understanding of natural phenomena and the world around them. Includes four activities:
- Garden in a Pouch: explore how a seed germinates without soil
- Map Making: create a visual guide to show a special place, area or thing
- Weather Station: explore, experiment and understand the weather, track patterns and measure temperature
- Solar Oven: use the sun's energy to melt a piece of chocolate

Lime Kit
With these tasks, learners will uncover the science behind popular secret agent tricks. Includes four activities:
- Red Reveal: use light and color to reveal a special message hidden in plain sight
- Eyes in the Back of My Head: experiment with reflection to create glasses that show what’s behind you
- Magic Box: design a special lens to conceal items in a box
- Cipher Wheel and Cryptogram: learn how to encrypt and decode a secret message with various cipher techniques

Blue Kit
Inspired by The Blue Paradox, this kit explores the importance of our water system and how human action can affect it. Includes five activities:
- The Water Cycle: discover why water continuously moves on, below and above the Earths’ surface
- Acidic, Basic or Neutral: test the pH levels of various liquids we use and drink
- Waste Audit: understand what happens to trash after it is thrown away and how we can rethink our daily waste
- 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle): discover how recycling is a meaningful way to reduce the impact of waste.
- Advocacy: learn how you can be a voice of change

Red Kit
Through these activities participants will learn how to tap into the power of science – just like their favorite superheroes. Includes six activities:
- Masking Your Identity: explore how superheroes adapt to their surroundings and use camouflage to remain unseen
- Web Shooter: create a device that shoots string that mimics the amazing spider silk
- Cat’s Cradle: engage in a fun game that uses a string to create shapes like a spider web
- Spider Silk Strength: test different strings to determine its tensile strength
- Oobleck-Villain Superpowers: experiment with a material to understand how it behaves like both solids and liquids
- Comic Strips: create a five-panel comic strip to tell your superhero story
