Meet Her: Barbara Riegger & Lori Ward

Barbara Riegger, co-founder of Bottles2Bricks, is motivated by a belief that environmental responsibility and humanitarian impact must go hand in hand, Barbara is dedicated to developing partnerships that turn innovative ideas into tangible change for communities around the world. She is passionate about fostering cooperation across cultures and sectors, helping communities gain both sustainable infrastructure and the knowledge to continue building independently — creating lasting impact beyond the initial project.

Lori Ward, co-founder of Bottles2Bricks, was inspired by a lifelong love of the outdoors and extensive travel to national parks and destinations around the world, Lori developed a deep awareness of the planet’s vulnerability and the urgent need for sustainable, community-driven solutions. As a mother of three, Lori is especially motivated to help build a cleaner, more hopeful future for the next generation and believes that small, intentional actions—rooted in compassion and collaboration—can drive meaningful, lasting change.
