An opportunity for students to discover what it's like to be a scientist or engineer through meaningful conversations and hands-on activities.
Jr. Science Cafés are small, focused sessions that offer young people the exciting opportunity to interact directly with STE(A)M professionals. These learning experiences provide role models of all ages, backgrounds, interests and career paths, conveying that anyone can pursue a career in STE(A)M.
- During Black History Month we host Black Creativity Jr. Science and Art Cafes in conjunction with the Black Creativity program
- In October during Hispanic Heritage Month we offer bilingual sessions for students
Best for grades 4-12. Sessions are 30 or 45 minutes, and can be virtual or in person. Capacity per in-person session is 35 students. Sessions are booked on a first come, first served basis. There is no additional charge for these Jr. Science Café sessions, but your school's enrollment must be at least 51% students of low income.
