Jr. Science Cafés

Jr. Science Cafés

Jr. Science Cafés are small, focused sessions that offer young people the exciting opportunity to interact directly with STE(A)M professionals.

These learning experiences provide role models of all ages, backgrounds, interests, and careers, conveying that anyone can pursue a career in STE(A)M. Throughout the year, we offer Jr. Science Cafés featuring a variety of topics and role models, including:

  • Hosting Black Creativity Jr. Science and Art Cafés in conjunction with the Black Creativity program in February.
  • Featuring women in STE(A)M in honor of Women's History Month in March.
  • Bilingual sessions in October during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Best for grades 4-8. Sessions are 45 minutes long and can be virtual or in-person. Sessions are first come, first served and can accommodate up to 35 students. There is no additional charge for these Jr. Science Café sessions, but your school's enrollment must be at least 51% students of low income.
