Activate the 4Cs
Teachers build on their understanding of 21st Century Skills and how to bring them to their students
About the course
21st Century Skills are widely accepted as critical for students’ readiness for college and careers, but what does it look like when they’re integrated into the learning environment? By combining one of our most popular student experiences, the Innovation Studio, with Professional Learning, educators are invited to experience and reflect on their use of Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking – the 4Cs of 21st Century Learning – in an authentic learning environment. This half-day workshop allows participants to:
- Engage in the 4Cs of 21st Century Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking
- Reflect on how to integrate and emphasize the 4Cs across the curriculum to support a culture of STE(A)M teaching and learning
This workshop is designed for Pre K-12 grade educators, specialists, and administrators who seek to increase students’ engagement in the 4Cs of 21st Century Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking. It will offer participants a chance to reflect on an upcoming lesson or unit of instruction and apply what they’ve learned by planning to integrate activities and instructional moves that promote 21st Century skill development. Continuing Education hours will be provided for Illinois Educators.
