Intro to Next Generation Science Standards
Curious about the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) but not sure where to start? This introductory workshop breaks it all down for you! We’ll explore why NGSS was created, the conceptual shifts it requires, and its key structures. You’ll also discover essential classroom features for successful implementation and gain insight into what sensemaking looks like in action. This presentation can be delivered in a 1-2 hour time frame, and tailored for an audience of science teachers or a combined audience of science and non-science teachers. Continuing Education hours will be provided for Illinois Educators.
Registration
Cost: $20 per teacher, per hour, with a minimum of 10 teachers. Not to exceed $600 for a 2-hour presentation. Travel fees may apply.
